Last Minute Gift Ideas

Can you believe Christmas is next week?! Thank goodness I have all of my shopping done. Well.. I have one item left to purchase, but that's pretty good huh? I have never finished this early in the game :)
I have found lots of really cute merchandise and thought I would share a few things with you just in case you need a last minute gift idea ;)

#1 Nesting Doll measuring spoons! I LOVE THESE! Buy them here.

#2 Nesting Doll measuring cups. I LOVE THESE EVEN MORE! LOL buy them here.
#3 Great gift for the guys! It's a pizza cutter that looks like an electric saw. Buy it here.

#4  Cutest lunch totes EVER! I bought several of these for my little man's friends! I had their names monogrammed on the front. They also have book bags to match :) Buy them here.

#5 This is a great shower gift- but it could work for Christmas too! It's a blanket and 3 bibs. They are really good quality materials and I also had these monogrammed for gifts. There are 12 different prints to choose from. Take a look here.

#6 Wine bottle tote or just plain bottle tote... for one... two... or a 6-pack! Buy here.

#7 And this is not so much a present- but my new obsession. MANGO! I love their clothes. Especially the back of this little number. So pretty! Click here to check out their site.

#8 Something really neat to read to the kids. I have been collecting books by Tasha Tudor and they are the most creative children's books I have ever seen. Every page has so much detail. My 1 year old stayed still in the bed last night and let me read this entire book to him and he was so intrigued. He looked at all the pictures and pointed and laughed. He loved it! You can find them all at great prices here.
Hope you see something ya like- and have a fabulous day!

Five Question Friday

Hallelujah... hallelujah... it's Friday! That means it's Five Question Friday time!

1. What's on the top of your holiday wish list and why?!

A Kitchen Aid mixer of course! I seriously long for one of these babies, LOL
I want either a Lavender, Iced Blue, or Mint Green mixer. Life would just be so much easier if I had one of these :)

2. What is your favorite Christmas gift from the past?
Oh wow, this is a hard one. I have gotten so many great gifts over the years. I guess the most thoughtful one was a gift my husband bought me for our first Christmas together. I had written a poem when I was in 8th grade and submitted it in a contest and it won. It was published, but for some reason I never received my copy of the book. My husband somehow located it all those years later and had it wrapped for me underneath our Christmas tree. So sweet!

3. If you had life to do over, what would you be when you grow up?
I love my life just the way it is, but if I could do it all over again, I would have moved away right after high school. I would not have let a boy gold me back from doing the things I wanted to do. I would go to all the places I once dreamed of going and see things I will probably never get to see. I am too invested here now. There is a baby involved, so I will probably never leave home now. My parents would kill me, LOL
Sometimes I wake up and can't believe how old I am. I feel like time is slipping right out from under me. Some people think it is silly how I feel like I am old, but I really do. I guess I have an old soul. :)

4. When do you put up your tree?
The day or weekend after Thanksgiving! I want to savor every moment of the Christmas magic! It usually comes down around New Years.

5. What is your favorite Holiday?
Christmas of course, but there is something about each holiday that I love. Christmas is just my favorite because it last the longest :)

So, I was thinking a lot last night about some of my favorite holiday movies. Here are a few of my favorites that come to mind. What are your favorites?

Christmas Wish List

It's December and that means that the school semester is coming to an end. I have final's next week and then I can put the books to rest, break out the hot cocoa and actually have time to snuggle up with my boys and watch holiday movies. The Christmas tree is up and glowing, my shopping is half way done and I am cheerful for the holidays! Here are a few items on my wish list this year :)

#1  Lavendar KitchenAid Mixer.. or in Iced Blue or Mint Green ;)

#2  Magpie 14k GF Charm Necklace from Nest Pretty Things

#3  Mosaic Storage Container Set and Salad Servers by French Bull

#4  Some sort of milk glass or jade cake platter. I think this one is beautiful.

#5 I love the Notebook platter and cup from Fish's Eddy. Thought it would be cute to let it sit on my desk in my classroom one day.

What's on your Christmas list?

This & That

Dear Friends...
It is absolutely lovely outside today!! I wish I could go home and play with my little love in the backyard. This sort of weather gets me excited about visits to the pumpkin patch, hot cocoa, pumpkin pies, sweaters, scarves and boots! I could go on and on! This time of the year gets me motivated to be more crafty- starts putting creative ideas in my head. I just wish I had more time to do all the things I want to do! I have come across so many neat ideas and thought I would share a couple of them with you, plus some other fun stuff :)

This is the cutest idea for DIY teacher appreciation gifts. You can find all the details at Southern Plate. It's just so thoughtful, adorable, and affordable! I love how the label says, "Sanity Preserves." Too cute!

There are the most precious template downloads available for free from the Wedding Chicks. I made so many of them in all sorts of colors! There are various templates available for wedding/party invitations, but I decided to do one for our bedroom with our anniversary date on it (above). I printed it on really pretty card stock paper, matted it, and then framed it. After I did that one- I just went crazy making gifts for people! Here are two of them:

Check out Boogs' new hat! Isn't it precious? He snatched it off a rack at Sears while his Da-da was shopping for tools, and we could not help but buy it for him ;)
You can find it here. They also have a girl version here.
Oh.. and look at the cute little shoes I found at Target for $6.88! Can't beat that!
I hope you're having a great day! Be sure to check back tomorrow for WW Wed. and see what I've been cookin'! :)
