WW Wed. (Tuesday)

Photobucket

Good morning! I am doing my Weight Watcher's Wed. post early this week because tomorrow all of us blogger friends will be having a day of silence for Summer B's daddy. I am sad to say he passed away this week due to cancer robbing his body. I hate cancer. Summer, I am praying for you baby girl. I am so sorry for your loss and hope that you can find peace and serenity in this time.
As far as WW goes... how is everyone doing? Are you worried about all the sweet treats on Halloween? You shouldn't! Just be smart about it and enjoy yourself. Some of our favorite candies are not as bad as you think and some are worse, but don't forget that you get 30 emergency points per week for things like this. Just don't go crazy kiddo! What's your poison??

 Candy Corn- 26 pieces= 3 points
Snickers- fun size bar= 2 points
Twizzlers- 6 pc. snack pack= 3 points
Butterfinger-fun size= 2 points
Milky Way- fun size= 1 point
Whoppers- 6 pc. pack= 1 point
Reese's Peanut Butter Cup- 1 cup= 2 points
KitKat Bar- fun size= 3 points
Willy Wonka Laffy Taffy- 5 mini bars= 3 points
Pixie Stix- 7 straws= 1 point
Nerds- 1 mini box= 1 point

According to Calorie King to burn 60 calories which would be those 7 pixie stick straws you just ate lol, you could do one of the following:
17 minutes walking
7 min. jogging
5 min swimming
9 min cycling
Not too bad!!!

I am not sure what the nutrition facts are on the treat I am making for our Halloween party, but I will let you know. Here is what I am making (recipe/idea came from Cheeky Kitchen)
I plan to replace the chocolate chips and heavy cream with sugar free chocolate pudding so that should help out a little with point consumption. They are just too cute and easy!

Growing Up

Good morning peeps :) How was your weekend? Mine was a lot of fun. We took Boogs to the pumpkin patch Saturday afternoon and I can't get over how much he has grown up! Makes me sad! He's not a baby baby anymore. But he sure is growing up to be one sweet little boy. We went to eat for his grandparents birthdays Friday evening and after the waitress brought his food to him he said "thank you" and continued on with his thank you's all weekend. I am so proud!
Here are the pics from last year... and then look of my little man from this year! WOW!

They grow up so fast! Okay, so now I need to get off here because I'm about to cry, LOL

Five Question Friday

Helloooo there! How are ya? Are you looking forward to the weekend? I am... even though it is slam full with a baby shower, pumpkin patch visit, fight night for the hubby, church, and dinner at friends house. I wonder when I might get to relax a little? Until then... here is FQF! Hope you enjoy!

1. Who is the better cook, you or your spouse?
I would say me because I absolutely LOVE to cook, but every once in awhile the hubby will get a desire to cook and when he does it usually is pretty good. I like when we cook together and flirt at the same time ;)

2. How often do you talk to your mom?
Every single day. Because we are living with my parents right now. I am enjoying our time there, but I am so ready to go back to our house. I am so ready to get to call her and hearing her voice be a special treat, to go by her work and it be more exciting, and I am ready to hear her and my Daddy pull up in our driveway on Saturday mornings for coffee again. I am homesick.

3. Are you adventurous in the kitchen or stick to the recipe?
Oh so adventurous! Scary adventurous! You.Just.Don't.Know! LOL
I have a love for culinary arts and have considered an additional career in that field once I am finished achieving my current one :)
Photobucket
4. Is your second toe longer than your big toe?
Why did this question have to be included? The second toe has haunted me ever since I turned into a teenager. I started noticing things on my body I did not like and that was one of them. I am so insecure about my stupid feet, LOL
I have heard that it means I am the boss of the family, but I say they should invent a toe reduction surgery haha
I love flip flops, but I love when winter comes and I can cover up my toesies.
Photobucket
5. Do you dress up for Halloween? (Bonus question: What will you be this year?)
I used to, but now that I have a kid I just dress him up and I get all cute. Here is a pic from last year's Halloween. I was so excited about that night and loving having a cute little monkey to show off!

Have a blessed weekend!

Pink & Green Thursday

So, Trishy is taking a break from Pink and Green Thursdays. I hope she comes back soon! I really enjoy partaking in her Thursday fun!  Any who- I thought I would do something a little different today but after looking over all my pictures, today's post could still technically be pink and green!
I have been thinking a lot about Boogie's (see here if you are questionable about the name, lol) big boy bedroom. He will be two in March so I know we still have awhile, but I just really like redecorating and I know soon enough I will get to do so in his bedroom. Here is what I plan on going with, but I thought I would share a couple of others that caught my eye as well. And... a couple of girl rooms too! Umm...yeah, I do have my one day, maybe, I dunno little girl's room planned! Always have. And I have about 3 more kids bedrooms, names, etc planned out for them as well. Problem with that? Mmm hmmm. LOL anyway...
Check out all the cuteness!

This is the one we are going with. Isn't it adorable? It's called Pond Street and the tree image is the area rug! I just love it! Especially the little fox and owl on the top of the comforter. :)
Here are the rest of the rooms:
 Gio Aqua by Dwell Studio
 Owls by Dwell Studio
Brooke by Pottery Barn- I have had my eyes on this set and loved it since before I was prego with Boogs. I just love those sheets below. They also have the baby bedding to match this.

Paper Dolls by Dwell Studio

Pretty much all of these have matching bathroom accessories. The ones by Dwell Studio have matching everything! Even bathrobes! :) And they also have girl and boy versions of most of their prints. Check them out!

WW Wednesday!

Welcome to WW Wed ya'll! How are you? Have you been doing good with your eating and exercising? I have been doing pretty good- except for last night when my dad talked me into going to the Waffle House aka Awful House to eat dinner with him. Don't get me wrong.. they have yummy food. It's just that even their sign screams "GREASE" at me when I see one. I have not eaten there in years.. until last night. I have felt disgusting ever since I devoured a cheese steak omelet, toast, and covered hash browns. I need to just let it go and move on with my detoxing of Awful I mean Waffle House today. It's a new day- a fresh start.
Let's talk about exercise! I have been really motivated to get going lately. I want to start doing my Jillian Michael's 20 minute video again. That thang will kick your butt! I went running around campus between work and class this week and it felt so good letting the autumn wind blow in my face. I felt rejuvenated, seriously!
Want to know what I'm cooking this weekend? It's the newest recipe on Gina's page! Are you ready for this????
Skinny Sloppy Joes

What you need:
• 1.25 lbs 93% lean ground beef sirloin
• 1 tbsp steak seasoning or seasoned salt
• 1 carrot, minced
• 1 medium onion, minced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/4 cup red bell pepper, minced
• 4 oz mushrooms, minced
• 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
• 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 2 cups tomato sauce
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
Chop all the vegetables really fine, using a chopper or food processor. (They will never know they are in there!)
What to do:
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the meat to the pan and break it up as it cooks. Season with steak seasoning and cook the meat until it browns, then add onion, carrots, mushrooms and red peppers to the skillet. Reduce heat to medium and add red wine vinegar and Worcestershire sauce, cook 5 more minutes. Add tomato sauce and paste to pan, stir to combine. Cover and reduce heat to simmer and cook an additional 5 minutes. Using a measuring cup, pile 1/2 cup of sloppy meat onto toasted buns

Hot Diggity Dog

Our weekend was pretty nice. Saturday, we went to the cutest little birthday party. It was Judson's friend Baylor's 2nd birthday and the theme was none other than Mickey Mouse! If you have kids or are around kids a lot you will probably know what I'm talking about when I say "Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog!" lol

It's permanently branded in my brain since my little one loves it so much. The husband walks around singing it too! Well... Baylor's wonderful mother (and I mean WONDERFUL!) served grilled hot diggity dogs and handed out two oreo cookies in a bag tied with a cute red and white polka dot ribbon which looked like Mickey Mouse ears. Oh, and we were all given cute ears to wear throughout the party and you better believe I wore mine! LOL
I think this is my new favorite picture minus the fact that I can now tell how old I am getting. Look at those crows feet. :(
Hope your weekend went well!

Five Question Friday

It's Friday and I've started my day with a delicious Star Bucks white chocolate mocha! Hey, it's Friday and I can treat myself, right? :)
What do I love most about today? It's the weekend, I get to play with my mini sweet cakes tomorrow around the house while we are still in our pajamas, I get to go grocery shopping (have I ever told you I love to go grocery shopping?) annnnddd Five Question Friday of course!
Photobucket

1. What is your favorite Halloween candy?
I am going to have to say candy corn, but I can't eat a lot of it. It's just plain sugar so I can only eat like 5 at a time, but they are oh so scrumptious!
2. Do you fold your socks?
Most of the time I just pair them together and connect them so they don't lose their partners :)
Photobucket
3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about?
I can't think of anything that I was not warned about that I should have been, BUT I do wish I would have not worried so much about what people thought about me growing up. I have often heard people say they have never been as happy as they are in their thirties because they now know who they are. I have to agree with that even though I am not quite 30.. I have grown more confident with myself in the past year due to learning and listening to myself and what I really want out of life. I've learned to make my own decisions and like the things I really like, not just because you like them and it's what everyone is doing. Does this make sense?
Photobucket
4. What is the most significant difference between you and your significant other?
He stays calm and I don't! LOL- I panic in situations while he just sits back cool as a cucumber :)
Photobucket
5. What are three words you would use to describe yourself? (And, just for fun...if your significant other is around, ask him/her what 3 words they would use to describe you!!)
I would say: ARTISTIC because I have lots of ideas about decorating, crafts, and various projects. I can plan some outrageous events too :)
CUDDLY because I love to love on people. I love snuggling and giving hugs and kisses. That is of course if I feel comfortable with you. I don't just give random kisses to anyone, LOL. and PASSIONATE because I get intoxicated by the passion and desire to love someone, to help people in need, and I do it with all of my heart. ALL of it!

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Pink & Green Thursday

It's P&G Thursday and I don't know about y'all but I am SUPER ecstatic about the autumn season and Halloween festivities coming about! The little one is going to be a cowboy this year and I can't wait to see his precious little self in those wrangler jeans and cowboy boots! I am hoping to take him to the pumpkin patch in the next couple of weeks too. I can't wait to see the excitement on his face! What are you plans for Halloween? What are you or your kids dressing up as? What are your memories of Halloween?

Whatever your memories are... I hope this month takes you to a good place like it does me. I love when the leaves start to change, pumpkins start to be placed on front porches, brown boots show their soles, and Mama burns her pumpkin spice candle. Happy fall y'all and happy Pink & Green Thursday :)
